Sunday Services

9:30am and 11:00am

What to expect

Each Sunday service lasts about an hour and 15 minutes. Like most Anglican and Lutheran churches, we use a liturgy. This is a set order of service, with prayers and bible readings which change from week to week. Our worship includes both Anglican and Lutheran elements. The service uses modern language, and the words to our prayers and the songs we sing are all projected on a screen for easy use. Music is led by our live band, and features a blend of modern songs and more traditional hymns.

Each week features a sermon which focusses on the bible lessons of the day, and connects them to our daily life. The service concludes with Holy Communion (also known as the Mass or the Eucharist), an ancient ritual of remembrance pointing to the death and resurrection of Jesus. These elements of word and sacrament strengthen us to face the week ahead with confidence and joy.

What about the kids?

We’re a family church, with many children of varying ages. For the youngest ones, a nursery is open during both services, for parents to spend time with their toddlers and infants while listening in on the service. Age-appropriate toys and changing facilities are provided. For elementary school-aged children, the Sunday Kids’ Club offers programming based on the day’s bible lesson. Teachers lead them through bible stories, crafts and discussion. Kid’s Club is offered every week, at both services, during the school year.

We also run a youth group during the 11 am service, for young people aged 12 – 17 (takes place on 1st, 2nd & 3rd Sunday of each month). These programs are all located in the classrooms behind the church worship space.

What if I'm new?

You’ll fit right in. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the congregation is happy to help visitors navigate the service. You’ll receive a service bulletin at the entrance, which helps explain details of the service. Refreshments are served between the services (from 10:15 – 11am), if you feel like getting to know us better. We’re a small church, so it’s easy to find your way to the washrooms, coffee room and children’s ministry areas should you need them. There’s also no dress code, though most come in smart casual wear.
