Good Friday Children’s Event

Good Friday, April 19th @ 10am @ Good Shepherd Church, Barrhaven. The death and resurrection of Jesus are some of the most important events we commemorate in the Christian faith. Yet, these important themes of death and new life can be hard for children to understand. Good Shepherd is hosting a Good Friday children’s event to help kids and their families better appreciate what the cross and resurrection are all about.

This Good Friday, our children’s event will feature crafts, snacks and stories run by parents and our youth ministry volunteers. The morning activities last about an hour, and most of the time is unstructured. This allows parents and kids to move to different craft and activity stations, depending on their interest. We’ve designed the morning to encourage adults, youth and children to work together on crafts. This opens up opportunities for conversation and reflection. The morning ends with a brief story and song time, as well as the chance for kids to display their work.

All are welcome to attend, and all the activities are free of charge. The morning is geared towards children 10 and under, but older youth are welcome to join in to help lead crafts.

The day is being run by Good Shepherd’s children and youth ministry. For more information, please contact us through our email contact form or by calling the church office: 613-823-8118
