Children & Youth
Sunday Kids’ Club
Sunday Kids’ Club (aka Sunday School) is held during our Sunday morning worship services (9:30 am & 11 am), except during the summer months. It’s tailored for children ages 3-11.
Each week, our group studies a Bible story and participates in a related craft. Our regular curriculum follows the Feasting on the Word program. Programming and instruction is led by trained teachers, some of whom teach professionally in the Ottawa School System.
The club meets in the back room of the church, and starts as the service begins. Parents are welcome to bring their children to the Kid’s Club room (also serves as the coffee room) as they arrive before the service. Children return to the service during announcement time. We would love to have your children come to see what we’re all about. Parents are always welcome too!
Nursery is made available during both Sunday services, for toddlers, infants and their caregivers. This is a friendly space, which doubles as our clergy office during the week. It’s an unsupervised area, so parents are asked to remain with their children. Age-appropriate toys, space to play, and a clear view of the church space make this a convenient place for parents who wish to observe the service while letting their children stretch their legs. It’s located next to the church worship space, separated by a glass wall. Changing facilities are located in the washroom in the area behind the nursery.
Youth Group meets on the 2nd & 3rd Sunday of each month, during the 11 am Sunday worship service (with a break during the summer). On the other Sundays, young people are encouraged to participate in the regular service, or to help with the younger children in Sunday Club.
Youth group is geared to young people aged 13 – 17 and is led by a dedicated team of volunteers. We meet in the back room of the church during our Sunday worship service for discussion and study.
We also hold special activities outside of these regular events, so stay connected on social media and our events to find out what’s coming up.
