Margo was ordained into the Anglican Church of Canada in November 2005 and has lived in Barrhaven since the fall of 2006. Here, with her husband Michael, she has raised two children while serving in churches in Ottawa Central, West and East.

Before turning to theology, Margo earned a Masters degree in English. During her time as a priest, she has worked in rural and urban parishes, and with a close team of clergy and parish members amalgamated two churches before serving in the new Julian of Norwich Church. In 2019, she proudly graduated with the first cohort of the School for Parish Development.

Margo continues to increase her technical skills as the church worships online. She looks forward to getting to know the community better as we discern with God’s help the best way forward for the church in Barrhaven.

Wendy is the proud mom of two boys aged 11 and 13. She loves being a part of their life, so became a youth leader in order to be able to help guide them in their faith.

Wendy is also an active volunteer in their school as a member of school council, as well as serving as a scout leader. She really enjoys being with them and doing things to enrich their lives and the lives of their peers.

She has been part of Good Shepherd since 2012

Jerusha has been involved at Good Shepherd since 2003, and currently serves as a leader in youth ministry. She is involved with the Youth Ministry because she feels it's important to help keep teens engaged in church; to keep them involved and encourage unity amongst the adult congregation and our youth.

Jerusha also helps lead Sunday worship by lending her singing talents to the Sunday music team. She also helps with Sunday worship by reading, leading prayers and as a Eucharistic minister.

Eleanor has been connected with children in the church since 2003 as the organizer of volunteers in the Nursery, and then as a Sunday Club Teacher since 2007. Her two girls have grown up in the church Nursery, Sunday Club, and now Youth Group. Spiritually, teaching Sunday Club has been an opportunity for Eleanor to grow in faith, make deeper connections with church members, and to be part of faith growth for future generations. Eleanor is also a Primary teacher with the OCDSB and currently teaches Kindergarten.

Tricia is a mom of two teenagers aged 14 and 16. As a teacher it seemed natural to get involved in the Sunday School and Child Care programs when her children were small. Tricia has been part of the parish since returning to Ottawa in 1995 after finishing university. Before having children she could be found reading the intercessory prayers or being a server. Tricia finds she learns just as much if not more from the children as they learn from her.

Debbie is a mother of two grown children, and has been a member of our parish for decades. She has been a member of our children’s leadership team for the past 20 years. Debbie particularly enjoys the way working with children gives her an outlet for her creativity and to enjoy helping children utilize theirs.

Milo has been teaching Sunday School at our church since 2002. She finds it a joy and a pleasure to see so many of the children grow - not only in age, but faith- over the years. The experience has been a blessing to her and to the children she has taught.
One of Milo’s main pleasures in teaching is how it has increased her own knowledge and faith. She finds that preparing each week and then talking with the children has been an eye opener, showing her perspectives she hadn’t considered before.

Guylaine directs Good Shepherd's music ministry. Guylaine's musical journey started when she was in grade 3, as part of her school choir in Montreal. From there, she joined the South Shore Children's Chorus and stayed on till the end of high school. Music has continued as a passion and joy in her life. As well as contributing to choirs, which helped develop her vocal abilities, learning keyboard helped her grow in her ability to read music and to better appreciate musical tone. Since the end of school, she has continued in music and in service to the church by contributing to church choirs, children’s day camps, youth camps and worship services.

Guylaine has served as Co-Music Director at Good Shepherd since February 2017. In November 2020 she became Music Director. Taking on this leadership role came as a bit of a surprise, but as a parishioner recently told her “God's plan has been working in your life and you didn't even know it! He has brought you to co-lead worship at Good Shepherd.” Guylaine works with Margo to plan music for our worship services, and leads practices and lends her musical talents to Sunday services. Guylaine considers this ministry a gift from God and is grateful for the chance to share the blessings that God has given her.

Caroline is Good Shepherd's musical accompanist. She has been playing the piano for most of her life, and has been teaching and playing professionally for over ten years. Caroline is grateful to be able to share her passion with others. She has been the accompanist at Good Shepherd since 2017, helping lead music practices and Sunday worship. She looks forward to continuing to serve her community in these ways while developing her skills as a musician and educator.
